Seventeen pesticide containers have been removed from a roadside on Cherry Street in Shafter after they were found illegally dumped early Thursday morning. Michelle Corson from Kern County Public Health says it’s unclear who threw over the materials. The intersection at Birch Street had been closed for several hours until a hazmat crew could clean up the roadway.
