PG&E SENDS CREWS TO IRMA

Eight PG&E linemen from Kern County are headed to Florida to help restore power to Hurricane Irma evacuees. The group is part of about 100 employees traveling to the state before the Category 5 storm makes landfall on Sunday. The utility says that will help them fix any problems with the grid faster.

PG&E sent crews there last year after Hurricane Matthew hit because they have a mutual aid agreement with Florida Power and Light.
