SABRINA LIMON TRIAL BEGINS

Opening statements have been made in the trial of Sabrina Limon, who is accused of plotting with her ex-boyfriend to kill her husband at his Tehachapi rail yard job.

Prosecutors say Sabrina wanted Robert Limon’s life insurance money to start a new life with Jonathan Hearn. Defense attorney Richard Terry says there is no physical evidence linking Sabrina with the crime and that she was the one being manipulated by Hearn.

Hearn has pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for the 2014 shooting and will testify against his ex-lover as part of a plea deal.

Sheriff’s Office investigators as well as Robert’s co-workers were cross-examined on the stand. Jurors also viewed surveillance footage and crime scene photos as both sides tried to reconstruct that day.
