Bakersfield police are investigating a string of robberies and other violent crimes that have taken place in response to people looking to buy or sell merchandise on the Internet. Sergeant Ryan Kroeker says the incidents took place in several locations. In some instances items have been stolen from those looking to sell them, police say it’s better to buy from retail stores than to deal with unknowns.
