Elderly and disabled residents can now call a county phone number if they get trapped during a large-scale emergency.

The Disaster Contact Line will help first responders find the patient, and Aging and Adult Services Program Director Jeremy Oliver says you can call it before you need to evacuate. The number is 855-264-6565.

The department is promoting it as part of Disaster Preparedness Month.
