An 11-month-old girl has drowned in a bathtub inside an apartment on Haley Street in east Bakersfield. The sheriff’s office says deputies and paramedics started CPR around 9:00 Wednesday morning after her mother found the baby unresponsive. The girl was taken to Memorial Hospital where she died. Deputies say it appears she climbed into the tub with several inches of water in it.
