The Bakersfield man convicted of kidnapping, assaulting, and raping a female acquaintance near Hart Park has been sentenced to 54-years-to-life in prison. 20-year-old Darryl Moore also strangled the victim during the attack in July of last year. The woman regained consciousness and jumped out of his moving car near the freeway to get away.

Moore was on probation at the time.
