Governor Brown has signed a bill by Bakersfield State Senator Jean Fuller that will make is safer for motorcycle and bicycle riders. Senate Bill 672 requires local agencies to upgrade their traffic-actuated signals to make them more sensitive to bikes and smaller vehicles. The switch will be made during routine maintenance.
