A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital with major injuries after they were shot in east Bakersfield.

Police say the two were hit on South King Street near East 3rd Street Saturday night. The suspects are believed to be three young men between 17 and 22-years-old who drove off in a dark colored SUV.
