Kern County firefighters worked into the night on Sunday to fully contain and mop up a 200 acre grassfire in north Bakersfield.

The cause of the Granite Fire that was reported around 8:25pm is unknown, but downed power lines were present in the area near Round Mountain Road and steep terrain was also a challenge.
