Inmates are getting help transitioning back into society at the 4th Annual Re-Entry Fair at Lerdo Jail.

22 community organizations and charities offered their services during Friday’s event at the facility north of Bakersfield. The Sheriff’s Office says the goal is to make sure men and women do not end back up there.

The 290 inmates who took part are all classified as non-violent and scheduled to be released within the next six months.
