Police are investigating a woman’s death in east Bakersfield as a homicide. Officers were called to the Town and Country Motel on Union Avenue near 19th street Saturday morning, where they found the victim inside one of the rooms suffering apparent trauma.

57-year-old Eldrick Richmond was booked on suspicion of murder.
