The coroner’s office has identified the driver of a pickup truck who collided with a trash truck on Golden State Highway as 62-year-old Robert Sills of Bakersfield. The Highway Patrol says he stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of the Varner Brothers vehicle traveling south near Snow Road Thursday afternoon.
