Kern County Public Works is hosting another free drop-day for people who have big items like mattresses, furniture and appliances they want to get rid of. There are three locations for Saturday morning’s Bulky Waste Collection: Kern Medical in east Bakersfield, the Kern County fairgrounds off Belle Terrace, and the old International Terminal at Meadows Field Airport from 8:00 to Noon.
