A new museum and eatery is planned for the music and memory of Bakersfield native Merle Haggard in Nashville. The Tennessean reports the attraction is set to open next summer and will feature instruments, clothing and memorabilia from one of the architects of country music’s Bakersfield sound. He died on his birthday last year from pneumonia.
