The District Attorney’s Office is filing misdemeanor charges against a Bakersfield police officer accused of having drugs and property either stolen from the city or embezzled. 25-year-old Kevin Schindler has not been arraigned but is facing three counts including possession of stolen property and steroids. Police say he’s been with the department for two-and-a-half years.
