California City Police are warning residents about a phone scam targeting businesses. A caller named “Edison” has been threatening to turn off the power unless companies immediately pay a large past due payment with a credit card.

Anyone affected is encouraged to check their charges with Southern California Edison first. That number is 1-800-950-2356.
