A Bakersfield man has been convicted of breaking into a 60-year-old woman’s home and raping her. 35-year-old Duree Beard held a screwdriver to the victim and threatened to kill her during the attack on Glen Oaks Drive and Stockdale Highway four years ago.

Beard had escaped to Arizona where he was caught.
