Hundreds of people learned about the future of renewables during this year’s Kern Energy Summit.

Wednesday’s event in Bakersfield was hosted by the Kern Economic Development Corporation to encourage investment in local energy projects. Speakers advocated for more storage facilities like the one in Tehachapi that banks the extra power we generate so it can be sold across Southern California.

Attendees also heard about advancements in battery and solar power.
