Kern County firefighters are investigating what sparked an abandoned house to go up in flames on Gromer Avenue in Wasco. They say the building near North Poplar Avenue was heavily involved and unsafe to enter when crews arrived just after one p.m. Wednesday. Damage is estimated at $25 thousand.
