Programs in Arvin and Delano will get grants of more than $527-thousand each from the California Natural Resources Council. The Greening Grants are intended to improve air and water quality through enhancements in disadvantaged communities like bike and hiking trails, and the creation of new open space. The funds that are generated from Cap and Trade sales were authorized by Senate Bill 535 in 2012.
