A minor earthquake registering magnitude 3.1 shook the ground east of Wofford Heights, striking just before 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. The US Geological Survey says the quake had a depth of just over two miles.

It follows a 3.0 magnitude earthquake in the same area November 17th.
