The gang member who shot and tortured an 80-year-old woman during a home invasion robbery in south Bakersfield has been sentenced to 130 years to life in prison.

Rayon Norwood was the ring leader of the attack last year on Stine Road that severely disabled victim June McKay. Prosecutors say he had taken a gun from McKay’s home in an earlier robbery and had come back for more weapons, which were locked in her safe.

Co-defendant Asia Davis is scheduled to be sentenced next week while another co-defendant, Robert Hunt, heads to trial next month.
