Staff from the Taft Correctional Institution have delivered 20 handmade blankets to caregivers of the Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County. The annual appreciation ceremony took place Wednesday at the Broken Yolk Cafe in southwest Bakersfield. Inmates make the comforters that are donated to various charities.
