A man who was able to shoot back after he was shot in the back is being treated at Kern Medical.

Deputies say the victim was attacked Thursday morning on Cottonwood Road in southeast Bakersfield, but was able to run to a business near Cannon Avenue and retrieve a gun.

There’s no word on his condition or any suspect information.
