Bakersfield Heart Hospital has released surveillance video showing the man suspected of a shooting at the facility. It can be seen here:
44-year-old suspect Brandon Clark is accused shooting out a locked back door around 4:45 Friday afternoon, then roaming the halls while pointing his rifle at witnesses. Police say he then left the hospital and was shot by officers in the parking lot. Clark is recovering at another hospital.
BPD has not said what the motive is, but Clark may have a relative who works at the hospital. He is also suspected of being on drugs at the time.
