MEDICAL POT DELIVERIES ON THE TABLE

Supervisors are discussing a delivery service for medical marijuana, after passing an ordinance in October that banned dispensaries and edible products. County Counsel Mark Nations was asked to check if people with a true need for cannabis could be helped, and told the board Tuesday that the only clear rule was that vehicles transporting legal marijuana could not be stopped on a public road. The state is working on a testing program for the safety of marijuana being sold, but that won’t be done until July, and recreational pot use becomes legal in January. Mike Maggard, who made the referral for information November 7th, said he’s glad they have time to thoroughly vet the matter.
