Police are investigating a crash that killed a 5-year-old girl on Harris Road in southwest Bakersfield and sent a woman to the hospital in critical condition. Officers say it happened Wednesday afternoon near Bill Williams Elementary School as the two pedestrians were hit on the sidewalk. The driver was also transported and was being treated for a medical issue.
