A Bakersfield judge has denied a state restraining order against Tastries Bakery that would have forced them to sell wedding cakes to every couple that wants one or sell none at all. Tastries is being sued by a same sex couple who were refused service because of the owner’s religious beliefs.
The judge agreed Thursday that the bakery have more time to present its side of the case. The next hearing is in January.
A similar case was heard this month by the Supreme Court.
