Kern County firefighters say a disabled Bodfish man was rescued by his neighbors Wednesday morning when his single-wide trailer caught fire. It’s unclear what sparked the flames around 6:00 a.m. on Verna Street, and the man fell as he climbed out the window.

He was put into a pickup and then taken for treatment.
