A man suspected of shooting and seriously injuring his wife during an argument in east Bakersfield has been arrested after a standoff with deputies. Marco Gutierrez reportedly barricaded himself inside a trailer parked at a house on Burnett Drive near Virginia Avenue Park Saturday evening and was eventually taken down by a K-9 officer.

The suspect is also being treated for injuries.
