A woman has died after she was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon in the area of Union and Truxtun avenues in east Bakersfield. Police say the pedestrian was outside of a crosswalk around 1:00. She was taken to a hospital and officers say the driver was cooperating. Neither alcohol, drugs nor speed appear to factors in the crash.
