A crash between a big rig and a SUV that shut down part of Highway 43 near Kern Raceway Park has sent a man to the hospital. The CHP says the semi hit the SUV when it backed up onto Panama Lane around 4:00 Friday morning after missing an exit. The status of the other driver is not known.
