The Kern County Sheriff’s office says nine people have been rescued this week while hiking in the area of Tehachapi Mountain Park. They include a mother and six children ranging between three and 16. Deputies encourage people to stay on marked trails as much as possible and don’t rely on your cell phone to have service.
