A man bitten by a pit bull in east Bakersfield that was shot by a deputy, was working as part of a mobile evaluation team for Kern County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. The sheriff’s office says he was injured Monday and has since been released from the hospital. The dog was seized by animal control.
