BAKERSFIELD PRAYS FOR HOMELESS

A thousand people were urged to fight homelessness during the 38th Annual Bakersfield Prayer Breakfast at Rabobank Convention Center downtown.

Mission at Kern County Executive Director Carlos Baldovinos believes Tuesday morning’s event was a good way to rally the troops and fix the issue. The keynote speaker was author Michael Yankoski, who lived with the homeless for five months to see what they face everyday.

This is the second-largest prayer breakfast in the country after Washington, D.C.
