The Massachusetts fugitive accused of possessing child pornography and the center of a Bakersfield manhunt has taken a plea deal on a misdemeanor drug charge. Christopher Goebel pleaded no contest Monday to possessing a controlled substance and will spend up to a year in jail. Police said his associate shot herself inside a car at the La Quinta Inn last month.
