A Kern County judge has ruled in favor of a bakery owner who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. David Lampe on Monday said the court has an obligation to protect free speech regardless of whose foot the shoe is on. The suit against Cathy Miller claimed she violated provisions of a civil rights law that prevents businesses to deny service to customers.
