A Bakersfield man is facing up to a year in jail after he was convicted of killing a jogger near Ashe and McKee Roads. Police say Garry Vansant was driving a Chevy pickup when it struck 41-year-old Sara Hernandez in March 2017. He is scheduled to be formally sentenced next month.
