A judge has sentenced a man to 50 years to life in prison for killing another man outside a Bakersfield bar on South Chester Avenue. Prosecutors say Gabriel Verdugo convicted of first-degree murder, was involved in a dispute with Elvis Garcia Gonzalez in 2015 at El Escorpion bar. The victim was an Iraq war veteran.
