Cal State Bakersfield President Horace Mitchell has been honored with the campus Unity Award for his efforts to diversify the school. Dr. Mitchell received the award at the annual Unity Breakfast Friday on campus, saying it was “very meaningful” that students recognized the work that’s been done. Dr. Mitchell is retiring in June after 50 years in education.
