The southbound lanes of Ashe Road at Harris Road in southwest Bakersfield are still closed for repairs. It started last Tuesday when a small sinkhole developed, revealing problems with a large water line beneath the surface.

The work was supposed to take about a week, but there’s no estimate now for when it will be done.
