A 22-year-old Riverside man has been sentenced to over three years in prison for two large-scale marijuana grows in Kern County. Ten agencies were part of the operation that led to the arrests of Sair Maldonado and his girlfriend for the sites in Lucas Creek and Box 6 of the Sequoia National Forest.

He’ll also have to pay for the damage from toxic pesticides, miles of plastic pipe, and the destruction of trees and plants.
