A woman who boarded a Greyhound bus in Bakersfield is in the Tulare County jail after stabbing another woman and threatening others.

Sheriff Mike Boudreaux says the suspect began acting erratically about 45 minutes into the trip Monday and attacked a 3-year-old girl at the back of the bus. The child’s mother underwent surgery after being stabbed in the stomach.

Several passengers and the bus driver had to subdue to woman.
