Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood will have a one of his own deputies as a challenger in this year’s June election. Chief Deputy Justin Fleeman accused his boss of ignoring deputies and having the wrong priorities when he announced his candidacy Wednesday. Youngblood agrees he needs to spend more time in the field and is working on that.
