Bakersfield firefighters made quick work of a small vegetation fire that sparked next to a homeless camp on F Street and Golden State Avenue.

Crews were called to the area around 10:30 Thursday morning and were able to keep the slow moving fire to less than an acre. It’s unclear how it started.
