An armed man who was wanted for a violent crime has been arrested after a standoff behind the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center on Truxtun Avenue. Bakersfield Police. Sgt. Joseph Galland says officers had to evacuate the medical center last night when he hid in the bushes. Homeowners on Cochran Drive were asked to stay inside during last night’s operation, the man eventually surrendered.
