KHSD STUDENTS PROTEST GUN VIOLENCE

Some high school students in Kern County are expected to walk out of classes at 10:00 this morning in solidarity with those who were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Florida. David Hogg saw his classmates killed during that rampage last month, and tells NBC’s TODAY SHOW they’re protesting gun violence. The Kern High School District released a statement urging students to stay in class, but that staff and District police will be on hand to ensure protesters’ safety.
