Kern County has won its lawsuit against several environmental groups who sued to overturn an ordinance that makes getting an oil drilling permit easier. The rule approved by the Board of Supervisors in 2015 gives all projects the same environmental impact review, and a judge said Monday that the EIR “properly analyzed and mitigated” air quality and other factors. Opponents are considering an appeal.
