HARVICK COMES IN FOURTH

The weather was great and the stands were packed at Kern County Raceway as hometown hero Kevin Harvick hit the track. Harvick told reporters this week he was happy to be home and was hoping to see some young talent do well, and wound up coming in fourth last night [thu] behind a 16-year-old boy from Wisconsin. 16-year-old Derek Kraus says he followed Harvick’s lead last night in front of the packed stands before moving into first place. Harvick came in fourth after a crash late in the K&N Pro Series season opener. Last night’s race was the opener for the K&N Pro Series and Harvick races Sunday in Fontana.
